Four-Appliance Pickup in Ocala

Got a text from a homeowner in Ocala who was mid-kitchen remodel. The contractor had swapped in all new appliances but left the old ones sitting in the garage — a full-size refrigerator, a washer, a dryer, and a dishwasher. Contractor told them “that’s not my job.” Fair enough. It’s ours.

Homeowner texted us photos, we sent back a price within about ten minutes, and we were there the next morning. Dolly’d the fridge out first since it was the heaviest. Washer and dryer were stacked, so we separated them and walked them out one at a time. Dishwasher was the easy one. Appliance pickups are probably the most common call we get.

All four appliances were in the truck and strapped down in about 40 minutes. We took them to a recycling facility that handles refrigerant recovery and metal reclamation — none of it went to the landfill.

Total cost to the homeowner was way less than what the contractor quoted them for “disposal.” They also had a pile of old drywall scraps and trim pieces from the remodel sitting in the garage corner, so we tossed that in too. They said they wished they’d called us first.
