Storm Debris Cleanup in Sugarmill Woods

A storm blew through Sugarmill Woods right after New Year’s and dropped a massive live oak branch across a homeowner’s backyard. We’re talking probably twenty feet long and thick enough you couldn’t wrap your arms around the base. On top of that, palm fronds were scattered everywhere — across the lawn, in the flower beds, piled up against the fence.
Homeowner texted us photos that morning and we had a price back within ten minutes. Showed up the next day with chainsaws and the truck.
Started with the big branch. Cut it into manageable sections, loaded the heavy trunk pieces first, then stacked the smaller limbs and leaf matter on top. Took about two hours just for that one branch. Storm debris cleanup always takes longer than it looks in photos because branches are all air and angles once you start loading them.
Then we worked the rest of the yard. Raked and loaded all the palm fronds, picked up smaller sticks and debris, and cleared out a couple of dead shrubs the homeowner wanted gone while we were at it. Why make two trips?
Whole job was wrapped up by mid-afternoon. Yard looked better than it did before the storm hit. The homeowner mentioned a busted screen panel and some damaged patio furniture she wanted hauled off too, so we tossed that in on our way out.
